TCP has been around for over 3 years, a longer than expected lifespan but extended thanks to the tireless efforts of our contributors. The number of posts have come down drastically compared to previous years, thanks to 9 months of inactivity and very limited blogging since.
Yesterday, I went through some of the older emails and comments and wondered how many comments did TCP see in this period. It sent me on a stat mini-hunt and thanks to tips from realtrix.blogspot.com I was able to get the info.
The blog has been visited from 165 countries, almost all except a few in Africa, Greenland, etc. There have been 2,40,000+ visits and 4,60,000+ page views. Not exact but close, as I lost 2-3 months of stats due to a javascript error.
But here’s the awesome part – The number of comments on TCP is 5,000. Yes. Five Thousand Comments. The blog, posts, scans have done their thing but this honour belongs to you all. And despite comment moderation/deletion, etc. TCP READERS ARE AMAZING. Please keep coming back.
Now on to the comic. This comic was sent in as a contribution by “Lord Loh” over a year ago, when I had suspended blogging and I found it going through some of the older emails. This isn’t a Indrajal but an Egmont and since I let it lie in my mailbox for a year, it’s only fitting that this should be the Christmas release from TCP.
Thanks Lord Loh and you all have a great Christmas.
UPDATE: In case you notice that the comment count is not going up, it is due to a bug in the blogger feed. The statistics work only if the number of comments is LESS THAN 5000. Anything above and it shows 5000 :-) Which means..you are AWESOME++

Thank You for the Backlink !!
Anyways this is a really great Blog and can do even better with proper Optimization.
It will be great if you Change the Template... I have some Great Ideas .. you Can Contact me if you Like..
Three years is a great achievement. Keep rolling!
I'll agree with Realtrix above about the template change. It's due for an overhaul. Maybe a About Us, Best Of, Most Popular etc and a Contact link to start with.
@Realtrix: great to hear from you here.
@saad akhtar: Hmm that makes 2 of you. I must admit that I have completely neglected the design aspect of the blog. Frankly,it was never meant to last so long :-)
well done dear.. keep it up.. try to keep it a comic blog _)))))
Hey TCP, Wish you a Merry Xmas and advance Happy New Year too...
5000+ comments and 2.40 L visits... is no small thing... You deserve every bit of those stats, for the sheer reason of being the flag-bearer of Indian Digital Comics.
By the way, thanks for blogrolling me in your list. It means a lot.

Congratulations! Keep up with the controversial discussions, even if some opinions are unpopular. We might disagree with each other's opinions, but nonetheless, the comments section is the most interesting in yours as it is in many blogs. Speaking for myself, I rarely read the comics on this website anymore. Looks like I have outgrown the Phantom, Mandrake and Bahadur. Though I wouldn't half mind reading Flash, Rip or Garth if you have any. Okay, all the Phantom/Mandrake/Bahadur lovers can flame me now :)
@ICC: You and I both know that it is not how it is going to be buddy. There are too few comics left, I have even fewer and others are doing a better job at it - the frequency and the interaction on their blogs is better. I may have started this, but it's time to move aside. But the blog cannot die, it almost died once, not again. Your point though, is noted, and the TCP brand of humour will be visible wherever possible.
@Rafiq Raja: Pleasure is mine, you have something amazing going on and it deserves more readers although I doubt if I can drive as much traffic to make a difference. and flag-bearer...naah..not trying to be modest or humble or anything, but this is just some fun I'm having (or rather beginning to have fun again I think)
@TGWB: Comments keep the blog alive, it did so for almost 3 years and I hope it will do so in the future, although the interaction has drastically reduced. I think a lot of people would identify with you having "outgrown" some of these comics, I might have..although I still read them, but it is never something I do in a obsessed sort of way. I am not trying to chronicle Phantom or any other comics. In 2005, there was a demand and I filled the gap and now there are more who are staying truer to the comic culture. As far as controversial discussions go, I don't see them as controversial but it's good to see different opinions. Disagreement is necessary for progress and if there is something that I see as affecting us, I will blog about it. Will also see what I can do about the Garth :-)
I don't mean belittle your efforts or complain. Amazing job! and great service to us.
Could you please upload as a zip or rar file in mediafire. It is tedious to download this way (image by image) and most of the time, imageshack didn't even open the image for me.
please.....

@Anon - all the comics are uploaded at thecomiclinks.blogspot.com - there is a link on the page too
