Comic #193: Mandrake - The Killer Cobra

Monday, March 19, 2007 Share: Digg Technorati Delicious StumbleUpon Facebook

Another comic - sorry about the last page :-( But I am sure you will guess what happens there ;-)

World cup 2007 started this week, almost didn't notice but the fever is catching on. But it has been interesting so far, and sad. Pakistan knocked out by Ireland - one would think it was a football match. India on the verge of being kicked out - even if we win both matches (the Lankans lovvvvvvvve rubbing it in and won't let go of this chance). And just saw on the news that the Pakistan coach - Bob Woolmer - passed away.

Hi,
First up many many many thanks for the wonderful job that you are doing here. It is amazing. I was pointed to this blog only a couple of weeks back and can't believe it has been onliune for two years now.
Jeez, what was I doing all this while.
Anyway to cut to the chase, back in the 80s, when we stayed in Kolhapur, I too subscribed to the amazing world of Indrajal Comics.
I had, (operative word here being HAD) an amazing collection of not only Indrajal, but DC, Action, Sad Sack, etc etc comics.
But my mom, in her infinite wisdom, dumped them during our various moves to different places after Kolhapur. :(
Anyway your blog has revived all those memories and made me one happy person.
I am in the process of refurbishing my collection and saving them on my comp. I have managed a decent collection of Asterix, DC series like Superman, Batman and other stuff. And am currently in the process of going through your archives and adding them to my collection.
I am also in the process of getting broadband at home. So in the near future shall be in a possession to share my collection too.
Please feel free to get in touch with me for any help.
Cheers
Sriram

Awesome collection of comics here! Simply astounding!
I grew up on Indrajal Comics and thoroughly enjoyed them. I'm a journalist today, but the earliest reading I ever did were in the form of comics!
I pity the kids of today who do virtually no reading apart from their school textbooks.
