This is the cover of the Phantom comic released in Brazil for the 70th Anniversary and was sent in by our friend Lucas Veloso. This book is called "The Phantom - Always on Sundays", for it contains the sunday strips created by Lee Falk and Ray Moore. It has 96 pages and it´s about 27X36 centimeters.
Number 150. I was planning to post a comic by a new contributor, but Desiguru sent in this comic - which is the first Phantom strip to appear in the 30s. He had wanted this to appear during the 1 year celebrations but I missed that message. Difficult choice but I decided to go for desiguru's contribution - with a promise that the new contributor will see his comic posted soon - on an important day coming soon :-) My apologies to the new contributor - whoever that person is.
So here it is: Comic #150.
Three things to note:
1. It is in black and white
2. This is not an Indrajal and was downloaded by Desiguru from somewhere - so all credit to those guys and of course, to DG for getting this to us
3. This comic is 152 pages
And I know that this one will be a bandwidth hogger - so I wanted to do this in 4 parts but then thought that #150 deserved to arrive with a bang.

Btw..this is also post #200. And hidden away here at the bottom of the comic which I hope no one will notice is another small announcement. The disappearance of the download links has been frustrating, but not anymore.
Announcing thecomiclinks.blogspot.com. For now, only the comic download links have been put up but very soon, I hope I can turn it into a comprehensive index: of all comics posted at TCP and also links to what I think are among the better posts at this blog - comic and non-comic related. Might be playing around with the structure a bit until I settle onto something solid. The right-hand side link idea was getting too difficult to handle and was making the blog look really ugly (uglier actually). But TCLink is also a site that will help people get their hands on the comics directly especially if they want to avoid going through the blog. The only catch is that there will be a delay between posting a comic on TCP and seeing the download link on TCLink.

Dear TCP, First Congratulations on # 150. We, in a hurry, to put our names down in order to claim position, often overlook comments in the same column else the spot will be taken! :-)))
This is a wonderful comic and thanks a lot for the download link site. This link is going to solve lot of problem apart from making life easier for people who wants to download. I am sure; readers will like to read Phantom comics other than Indrajaal. If readers feel otherwise then I hope they let their views known so that people like me, who happens to have some Phantom stories, other than Indrajaal, may not send it to TCP. Just my 2 cents!

I dont know if you guys noticed it. Phantom has gloves in this comic. And it is said in the comic that phantoms costume is grey.

wah, what a comic! amazing...from the dates mentioned in it it was first published in the 1930's-40s? but still what a wonderful job on the drawings, the lettering, the quality of dialogue...fantastic! desiguru, congrats to you for scoring such a priceless treasure and sharing it with us, and to TCP for the "bang" for the 150th...i'm waiting for this one to go up on comiclinks, so i can grab it! and btw, congrats TCP on 200th post!

sketchyself: You are right, Clause 57(a) sub-clause MCCLIII does clearly say that once a new comic is published no races can be held on the older one; but you neglect the fact that Clause 57(a) sub-clause MCCLIV clearly states that this rule does not apply to comics whose numbers are multiples of 50.
So unless and until the Evil Zamindar chooses to brazenly bypass and contravene the existing, well-documented laws, like General Tarakimo, we are on safe ground! So keep the race going... BINDAAS!

Dude. Thanks a lot for this excellent classic. I just love these classics. And a superb reprint, I must say.
Please please please find the sky band and post it. This is an all time fab classic.
Note the moonstone rip off of the sky band concept in Nos. 7 & 8 and .
Ajay, Sky Band was really good one. I think I have it, but its also in Black & White as it was in daily strips i guess.
Moonstone rip was not good, its was a bad try by them to create another story around the new generation of Sky Band.
