Chandni...O Meri Chandni...Tu Meri Chandni

L1Cache: The sole purpose of entertainment is to mask reality. We want to see something magical...something untrue...when in reality what exists is nowhere close to all that

TCP: Movies fulfil that desire. Some movies blow you away by their story, by their technical wizardry or sheer scale..some just touch you and some are truly groundbreaking. Some movies, a very few of them, make you fall in love..make you want to be in love, make you want to win and lose in love, feel the joy and the "pain" of being in love. This is the story of Chandni.

Chandni

ChandniChandni falls in love
Chandni at Rohit's houseChandni writes to Rohit
Chandni hurt by RohitChandni goes to Bombay
Can't believe her eyesSees Rohit cured
Still shockedTells Rohit about Lalit
Sees Rohit at her weddingChandni is married

P.S: Comic lovers, forgive me for this transgression on sacred territory once again. A lonely friday night can do weird things. You may please leave your brickbats for this blasphemous act in the comments section and I will gladly collect them. Punishment for me is to post a comic soon but until then, please bear with me :-)

Update
Somehow, this post was being seen as funny and I was thinking..what's funny about this? I was ..I guess just being silly..maybe being 16? L1Cache and I spoke about it and we laughed about it as well. I expected to be cursed, chided, kicked and hung up to dry - but this "impact" was not anticipated. For a moment, I felt like Columbus - Nikla India dhoondne aur pahunch gaya America. But I think I know what the joke was and correct me if I am wrong vishnu and nandya - was it the "chandni writes to rohit", "falls in love", "hurt by rohit" etc? :-) TCP is not offended and hope you guys aren't offended 'coz I brought the comments to the post. As long as it generated a pleasant response, TCP khush hua. (sometimes I think I will make a movie and give it a tagline - Just to make you smile) kiddo..thanks for saving my izzat, your comment kinda turned the tide.

Bloghopping
Check out www.kausum.blogspot.com for this article called "The awkward first phone call". Like I commented on that blog, it's got drama, emotion, comedy :-) Don't miss it and let him know what you think.

well, the post is really beautiful and classy, and kiddo, the fun part is that it does not belongs to Chandni movie. So, its also a TCP original :)

To start with, I thought TCP is taking a break from Indrajal and posting the movie comics, which Diamond Comics used to publish long back (i think they hv published Chandni as well), but later realized that those comics(well, those were not comics, as they used actual movie stills) were black and white, and not color. And then when i read the story here, it make me smile, a great post! If the breaks from comics is like this, who is going to miss the breaks ?

This reminds me of that film magazine (I can't recall the name), which used to have a pictorial story of a film occupying its last pages. We kids loved them.

But your take is much better.

@ vishnu..nandya...my initial reaction was "why the hell do these guys think it's funny". Then I took a second look and laughed :-)
@ vishnu - can put you on my imaginary first-comment scoring list :-)
@ nandya - glad you liked the break. Will try to keep doing weird things without breaking the TCP rhythm.
@ kiddo: thanks...you made me feel like basanti for a minute .. eek bad example
@ cloudy: too good...old jungle saying..haha
@ desiguru: Now that you mention it, I can recollect seeing these stories. I had completely forgotten about it. Thanks for reminding
@ soumyadip: yeah i recollect that one too now...and i miss them :-( maybe i will try to do something once in a while..but again without breaking the TCP rhythm
Thanks for liking my silly 16 yr post everyone :-)

If this is to become a regulat feature, what do u think about startin g a new post?

The Comic Project said...

@mumbaicomicsclubber: Are you asking if i am going to post movies in a comic style on a regular basis? The answer is no because I want to stick to the original plan. But you might see things like this popping out of nowhere, unpredictably - some you may like and some you may not. No. I won't be starting a new blog for this..too painful to maintain too many things. I might do Casablanca someday :-)

TCP. I looked again. I am sorry. I started laughing again. I think it was the "Still Shocked". I still don't see the "beautiful and classy post" part. Well, maybe I am like that.

About the photo comics. I used to have Ramayan. You know from Ramanand Sagar's Serial. :-). Too bad, don't have them now.

TcP... just to stick onto the main blog theme.... why not go into your last project ways, and create Comics out of Movies you want to post about on..... just like Mr. India...

This will make you stay with the theme, and will also give us a chance to grab another comic exclusive..... Eventhough, it's going to take a hell lot of your pesonal time in the process.... hehehe..

By the way I loved Chandni too... Sridevi at her Angely Best....
